As a ministry, our mission statement is to “introduce kids to Jesus Christ and to help them grow in their faith.” We are committed to ensuring that every kid has an opportunity to know who Jesus is and respond to His invitation to put their faith in Him. Because camp spots are limited and we are committed to our mission, the Camp Waitlist Policy is in place for the 2024 year.
High school campers who have been to Young Life camp once or twice before are considered “Second and Third Timers”. All Second and Third Time Campers who have register for camp in 2024 will be placed on the Waitlist to ensure that First Time Campers receive an opportunity to go to Young Life Camp. Deposits will be refunded to the 2nd and 3rd timers who do not make it off the waitlist.
It’s important to us to keep the registration process clear and concise. In order to do that, we are asking that all Second and Third Time Campers attend at least 2 Second and Third Timer Meetings this spring. These meetings will help prepare students for what it looks like to go back to Young Life Camp as a Second or Third Time Camper, and how to get off the Waitlist. If students are unable to make it to at least 2 meetings, we are asking students to meet directly with their local Young Life Leader.
Kids who would be considered a 2nd or 3rd timer also have other options in lieu of or in addition to a traditional summer camp with Young Life. Some of those options include Work Crew (a month-long service and discipleship opportunity at a Young Life Camp), Discipleship Weekend over Memorial Day (an opportunity to dive deeper than they would at summer camp in their understanding of a relationship with Jesus) or Adventure Camping (Adventures Wild Ridge). Adventure Camping is organized by leaders and a group of interested kids with support from the Young Life office. Typically, there would need to be 5-6 kids + a leader to make this happen, minimum.
Registration for camp will begin on December 7th, 2023. Sign up at Sweet Frog or online on December 7th and receive $50 off camp! Use the links above to register.
Yes! See the "Fundraising Opportunities" link below to find out how you can get money off of your camp trip. Remember, each camp trip is a different price so be sure to check your trip's registration page for the right amount. If you have any questions, please contact your school's Young Life leader or the area office.
The closer we get to camp, our staff will be sending out more information about a packing list, health forms, transportation details, and other important details about camp to parents and students.
Final payments will be due 1 week before your student's camp trip! In your confirmation email, you'll find a personalized payment link that should show you the remaining balance of your camp trip. As your student fundraises, the price will be adjusted accordingly.
